Buffalo, New York - Marking a milestone in the development of Buffalo's waterfront, Erie County Executive Joel Giambra today announced that the County, in a multi-party agreement with New York State and Buffalo State College, will lease a parcel of waterfront property to Frank Lloyd Wright's Rowing Boathouse Corporation for construction of Wright's famed rowing boathouse designed in 1905. The site is adjacent to the West Side Rowing Club. The Boathouse Corporation is conducting a $5.4 million capital campaign to fund construction of Wright's rowing boathouse. read more>>

Groundbreaking Scheduled

Frank Lloyd Wright's Rowing Boathouse Corp. will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on September 6, 2006 at 11:00am at their site, adjacent to the West Side Rowing Club

Tom Fontana, lead donor and Honorary Chair of the Capital Campaign will be the featured speaker along with Mayor Byron Brown, Erie County Executive Joel Giambra, NYS Assemblyman Sam Hoyt and a representative from Governor Pataki's office.
